CineFAM Shoptalk/Behind the Lens #4 – Storytelling/Writing
October 6, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Discussing writing/storytelling for specifically for women and non-binary creators of colour.
Host: Chattrisse Dolabaille
Chattrisse Dolabaille is a writer, performer, producer, and proud Torontonian. Giving voice to individuals and communities who have been largely seen as “other” is a personal and professional priority for her.
She studied Radio & TV Arts (at a downtown university which is going to be renamed) and completed an internship in Washington, DC at the headquarters of Black Entertainment Television before graduating and beginning her professional acting career onstage, then onscreen. She also writes and produces films; her first two shorts have been screened in dozens of festivals worldwide, and the world premiere of her very first short film, CHECK, took place at the 2017 CaribbeanTales International Film Festival.
Chattrisse also co-chairs the ACTRA Toronto Diversity & Inclusion Committee, working to empower storytellers who want art to reflect real life, since life is so often shaped by the art we value.
